Today we had intended to go to the Museum of Decorative Arts next to the Louvre. When we got out to the bus stop, the electronic announcement board said that the busses were not running for a while due to "perturbations" which usually means there is a demonstration at some major point which doesn't allow the busses to follow their usual route. Not wanting to wait and see what would happen, we abandoned our plans for the museum and went instead to the Café Sancerre for tea, hot chocolate and a plate of "frites". We put off the museum for another day, and instead went for a walk up to the place de la République. That gave me time after we got back to update the blog. We'll do dinner somewhere later in the evening. This would be a good opportunity to see a few more of the unusual photos I have taken in the past week or so. Excuse me if there is a repeat or two.

An interesting graffito.

And another.

An interesting entry gate to an old apartment building.

I may have shown you this in another year. It's the French National Federation of Magicians.

A man on the esplanade of the Pompidou Museum who imitates bird whistles and sells the device he uses to create the sounds.

Also at the Pompidou, two people who give back rubs and massages.

The front facade of the Pompidou

Finally, two coke bottles on the café table. The coke bottles here have various names on them, sometimes names of individuals, and sometimes like these, the bartender and the waiter. A bit different, what?
